Making Money in a Recession


Last month, I read a fantastic article on making money in a recession by Michael Vizard. He reinforced my belief that positive growth in sales can happen during a recession, if you put technology to work for you. Here are just a few of his ideas for doing more than surviving in tough economic times:
• Offer managed services to your customers to help them when they cut labor costs internally.
• Be the business intelligence resource for your customers. They’re desperately seeking answers and ways to plow through this economy unscathed. It’s your job to give those answers to them.
• Offer storage management. The amount of data that needs to be managed will continue to grow, regardless of good or bad economic times.
• Webinars and teleclasses will help reduce your customers’ travel costs, which they’re sure to cut first (or close to first) and save them valuable time as well,
• Offer your customers ways to reduce energy costs to help them reduce their carbon footprint as well.
